The Johnson’s! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Hello Pretties!

So it has been pretty quiet on the blog here lately, but I promise I’ve been a busy bee working on my new super dooper surprise! 🙂 I am officially giving myself a deadline. The surprise will be up and ready to go December 3rd. Mark my words!!!

Now, drum roll please….fantastic blog ahead!

I had a pretty fantastic time photographing this great family last weekend!  To say the least they did great! Crystal, props to you on looking and coordinating your family picture outfits to a “t”!  I absolutely LOVE it when families and couples plan ahead for their sessions and make sure everyone matches without doing the traditional white shirts or black shirts or like in my family pictures as a kid navy (haha, Thanks Mom! 😉 I’m going to blame it on the 90’s definitely NOT you!) Anyways, you guys did awesome!! Enjoy!

V’s Homecoming! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Have you heard how much I LOVE homecomings?! I’ll admit it I absolutely love photographing them and they are all so special.  Like I’ve said before maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for happy moments, I mean who isn’t right?, or maybe I just love hearing all the stories and how strong the Wives and Families of the soldiers are. Either way…they are absolutely beautiful and I’m beyond thrilled to be able to capture them. 🙂

This homecoming was slightly different..instead of the HUGE homecomings that I had been used to this one was small and intimate. It was so nice that there was only a handful or two of people there so everyone family could line up along the rope to see their loved one and there was plenty of space to move around so you could stand be wherever you wanted to be.

V’s homecoming was awesome and she was beyond thrilled to have her husband home and him get to see his son. Speaking of he’s adorable… 🙂 and his little onesie was too cute.  She was so excited and Dad has such a look of pride on his face!!!  Enjoy!

You guys have such a beautiful family!  Thank you so much for letting me photograph such a special day! 🙂

Mini Session: Andrew |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

He’s such a little stud! 🙂 Thanks so much you guys!!!

Enjoy!!!!! 🙂

Mr. & Mrs. Pedigo |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I met Lindsay at SIUe in an art class. She’s a fellow photographer, and as long as I’ve known her she has been with Michael and talked about marrying him from day one! 🙂 When you know…you know!  Their wedding was beautiful..and they got married on August 4, 2012 in Granite City, IL at the  First Assembly of God. I’m sure they remember what the weather was like when they woke up…gray and rainy…it had stormed the night before. To say the least, it quickly changed to a bright and cheery day which was such a relief! 🙂 On the plus did sprinkle a bit that morning and as the wise tale goes if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck!

I just LOVE all the little details that Lindsay had come up with.  My fabulous assistant for the day Chelsey asked me what her wedding colors were…(to be honest Lindsay and I never discussed it..oops)…but I just knew it would going to be Oranges and Pinks!

Lindsay is so beautiful. She looked stunning and Michael’s expression when he finally saw her was priceless and he had quite a few surprises for her too. Make sure you check out Linsday’s reaction to her new wedding band she had NO idea about!

To say the least they are naturals in front of the camera and know exactly when to have a serious look versus a smile. Totally jealous! 🙂

Lindsay and Michael…Thank you SO very much for letting me photograph your big day!  It’s absolutely wonderful photographing and being a part of such a special day. You guys are an absolutely amazing couple and I wish you all the best in everything you do!!!!! Enjoy!

H’s Homecoming! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I was beyond blessed to be able to photograph this homecoming and it was such an amazing experience. Rachael and I had gotten in touch a few days before the ceremony and her Husband was scheduled to come home from deployment.  It was wonderful meeting her and being able to hang out before the guys flew in.  I could tell that Rachael was extremely excited an anxious to have her Husband back.  Just a few hours earlier it was storming, but it stopped just in time that everyone could wait outside as the guys disembarked the plane which made for the most perfect sunset.  I had an absolute blast and am so happy that I was able to capture such a special time for them.  I wish you all the best :).

End of Summer: Mini-Sessions |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Aren’t sure? Well, lets talk about it.  Let’s think when the last time was that you had a professional photographer photograph your beautiful family, your children, or you and your husband.  It has probably been quite some time by now. Am I right? I know that everyone is busy and sometimes our Husbands (I’ll agree, I think my Husband would too 🙂 )  are not really the ones for being photographed, but honestly photographs document a point in time and you will cherish those beautiful portraits forever.  When is a better time than now to book that session? Time most certainly gets away from us. So why not? You have nothing to lose only beautiful professional portraits to treasure.  🙂

Exciting News!! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Welcome Everyone,

Anyone notice besides me that the blog got a new look? Let me know what you think of it. 🙂

If you missed my last post, Pink Vintage has relocated to EL PASO, TX.  My Husband, Nathan, and I are enjoying ourselves and the nice HOT, I do mean HOT, weather.  On the plus side I have seen rain once since I moved here not including the storm we ran into on the drive down. Let’s just say that driving through a sand storm is NOT the same as driving through fog.

Anyways, I’ve realized that I have missed updating facebook and my blog in a long time and there are some awesome sessions I haven’t posted so hold tight they will be coming. I promise.

I will be scheduling sessions and have a day of mini sessions planned for August 1-8 in Mt. Carmel, IL. I will post details and exact dates when those are determined. If you are interested please contact me and let me know. There will be limited availability.

Here’s a little something until I post the full session…This family is WONDERFUL and I was excited to photograph
such a loving family.
*full session will be posted later*

All my love,

New |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Hey all,

So what has been new with Pink Vintage? Lots of things. Starting with Pink Vintage has moved to El Paso, Tx.  I will be scheduling sessions in Mt. Carmel, IL when I am home visiting. I will be home in August for a wedding and scheduling a few sessions then.

I recently got married April 14 to the most amazing man! I am thrilled and excited to see all the adventures life has to offer us. I will post a few of our wedding pictures later so be on the look out for that.

I may or may not be slightly obsessed with pinterest. To say the least my wedding had quite a few pinterest inspired projects!  You may be also, so you may want to check it out:

Pink Vintage has upgraded…to a brand new website. I am still in the process of updating and loading more portraits to it, so please be patient and check back for updates. Your session may be featured on it! 🙂

If you would like to access a previous session please email me and I will get you the link to your session.

I decided I would keep this blog post short, but check back for more and upcoming adventures and sessions!

All my love,

Fabulous Save The Dates! |Mt. Carmel, IL Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Save the dates the great debate.

As I’ve been researching save the dates I’ve noticed that some blogs and people will say that they are very important key in wedding planning and the invitation process.  I feel like more than ever though everyones save the dates look the same.  Just a simple picture and the details.  Let’s think, what can we do to make them really stand out.  This has been the question I’ve been asking myself, so designing my save the dates has been an interesting task.  🙂 My feeling is why not step outside the typical save the date box and do something that really expresses you and your Fiance as a couple?!  I do think that Save the Dates can be a great and you can incorporate your engagement session.  While looking up fabulous ideas I came across a blog post that has A LOT and I mean A LOT of ideas.  Keep in mind your photographer would probably LOVE you lots if you wanted something creative, or I would! hehe.

All my love,

Chelsea Miller

P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! And Thanks to my clients for an awesome 2011! 🙂

Harlow Mae |Mt. Carmel, IL Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

This little girl is Miss Harlow and how cool is this, we share the same birthday! Mackenzie came in for her maternity session about a week before her due date, July 15, and I joked with her the entire session that she should just have her on the 12th. Well, she did! Miss Harlow decided to come early! How precious is she? She surely put up a fight the entire session, but we managed to get some adorable ones of her awake and sleeping! 🙂 Thanks so much Mackenzie! I can’t wait to photograph your family sometime!
