The Fitzpatrick’s! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Shannon and AJ are such an adorable couple and we can’t forget about Mr. Ernie! 🙂  Shannon had found my page on Facebook when I first got to El Paso. She had emailed me and we had been planning this session for some time now.  I LOVE it when my clients really want to be involved and quiz me on what my shooting style is, how the session will go, where will it be at, and what they should wear.  Plus, I love getting to know my clients and them getting to know me.  Yay! For an excuse to get an amazing Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte! (Not that I really need one ;))

Shannon, you and AJ did awesome! It’s so much fun photographing people in love.  And of course when they are troopers and up for anything!  I’m so glad that you brought Ernie! He was a blast. 🙂 I hope you guys had as much fun as I did! Enjoy!

Wishing you both all the best!!

Mr. & Mrs. Pedigo |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I met Lindsay at SIUe in an art class. She’s a fellow photographer, and as long as I’ve known her she has been with Michael and talked about marrying him from day one! 🙂 When you know…you know!  Their wedding was beautiful..and they got married on August 4, 2012 in Granite City, IL at the  First Assembly of God. I’m sure they remember what the weather was like when they woke up…gray and rainy…it had stormed the night before. To say the least, it quickly changed to a bright and cheery day which was such a relief! 🙂 On the plus side..it did sprinkle a bit that morning and as the wise tale goes if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck!

I just LOVE all the little details that Lindsay had come up with.  My fabulous assistant for the day Chelsey asked me what her wedding colors were…(to be honest Lindsay and I never discussed it..oops)…but I just knew it would going to be Oranges and Pinks!

Lindsay is so beautiful. She looked stunning and Michael’s expression when he finally saw her was priceless and he had quite a few surprises for her too. Make sure you check out Linsday’s reaction to her new wedding band she had NO idea about!

To say the least they are naturals in front of the camera and know exactly when to have a serious look versus a smile. Totally jealous! 🙂

Lindsay and Michael…Thank you SO very much for letting me photograph your big day!  It’s absolutely wonderful photographing and being a part of such a special day. You guys are an absolutely amazing couple and I wish you all the best in everything you do!!!!! Enjoy!

Mr. & Mrs. Beyes |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

As I’ve promised I am going to blog the sessions I’ve missed! I apologize to my awesome clients hopefully you all forgive me! 🙂

I remember all to well when Laci told me she got engaged! I just love hearing happy stories and unique proposals. And of course my heart goes out to military couples as you will see her husband, Phil, is a Marine. I was super excited and honored  when she asked me to photograph their wedding. It is always exciting photographing for a friend and I feel like we have special military bond, actually all Military Wives have a weird unspoken bond. I think so at least…maybe it’s just me haha! Anyways, their wedding day had beyond perfect weather and it was in the fall so the leaves were a gorgeous golden color too. Laci was absolutely stunning (I am totally jealous of her dress! I’m a sucker for lace and vintage style.) and their “first look” was just adorable.  They were both thrilled to see each other and share in this special day with their loved ones.

Enjoy!

All my love,

Chelsea

Fabulous Save The Dates! |Mt. Carmel, IL Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Save the dates the great debate.

As I’ve been researching save the dates I’ve noticed that some blogs and people will say that they are very important key in wedding planning and the invitation process.  I feel like more than ever though everyones save the dates look the same.  Just a simple picture and the details.  Let’s think, what can we do to make them really stand out.  This has been the question I’ve been asking myself, so designing my save the dates has been an interesting task.  🙂 My feeling is why not step outside the typical save the date box and do something that really expresses you and your Fiance as a couple?!  I do think that Save the Dates can be a great and you can incorporate your engagement session.  While looking up fabulous ideas I came across a blog post that has A LOT and I mean A LOT of ideas.  Keep in mind your photographer would probably LOVE you lots if you wanted something creative, or I would! hehe.

Mr. & Mrs. Doersam |Mt. Carmel, IL Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Joey Doersam!!! Their wedding day was by far the most relaxed wedding I’ve ever been to and everything worked out perfectly. The location was absolutely gorgeous at the Moose Lake in Albion, IL. Katy was the most laid back bride ever, so props to her because nothing and I mean nothing got in the way of having a perfect wedding day! From the storms in the early morning to battling the wind, things worked out. Katy and Joey had so many cute little details, from the vintage car, to the grooms cake, even the fan programs. One of my favorite parts was the while you wait wedding trivia. How awesome is that? That was such a GREAT idea. I may have to steal this idea some day. The jewelry was handmade, as well as the ties, and the girls had coordinating nails and shoes. The little details really make your wedding day personal to you two. Congrats again!!!! Enjoy!

2nd Shooting |Mt. Carmel, IL Portrait Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to 2nd shoot for Matt Vickers of Vickers Photo.  This was an amazing opportunity and I learned so much shooting alongside him.  The wedding was gorgeous and every detail planned very carefully.  All I could say was wow! Emily and Luke got married in Henderson, KY and the reception was at the Centre in Evansville.  I had no idea Henderson was so big, I had only ever driven down the “main strip”. I was in for a surprise and they have some cute bed and breakfasts that we met up and one of them with the bride and her bridesmaids for a brunch and to get their hair done.  The city park was most definitely ideal to shoot at.  After the ceremony they had 4 convertible mustangs lined up outside to take to the reception.  How cool is that? I even got to ride along with the Matron of Honor, her husband, and another bridesmaid.  And I know you’re probably thinking where did they get all of the mustangs, well, it turns out that the bridesmaids all drive them! The reception was stunning every little detail planned out perfectly.  Congrats Emily and Luke!!!

Phew long blog post! Hopefully you made it through the entire thing!
