Thank you EVERYONE for all of my wonderful clients, friends, family, and fans! 2012 was such an amazing year. I truly appreciate all of your kind words and business.  With the move to El Paso, Texas I wasn’t sure how things would go, but to say the least I am THRILLED!! I can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store.  I want you all to know just how much I appreciate you. 🙂

Without further ado…

Thank you everyone who participated in the Family of the Year contest and made it such a success. Every family was more than deserving to win this 20×30 gallery wrapped canvas!

The winner of the contest is……

“The Barnes family: July 17, 2012- the BEST day of my life! The day that Dan returned home from Afghanistan is a day I will never forget. Since he husband joined the Army we’ve only spent small fraction of our time actually together in the same place, but the Army has blessed us with some incredible opportunities that we wouldn’t change for anything. I think this lifestyle is about always counting our blessings and making the most of every second we get to spend together. To have such a large print of one of our favorite Homecoming pictures hanging on our wall would be an incredible blessing and reminder to cherish everyday together and also remind us of that beautiful light at the end of a long dark tunnel called Deployment. ♥”
Thank you again to everyone who participated! And to our fabulous 5 judges who took the time and care to vote. 🙂
Hoping everyone has had an amazing Holiday Season!
Warm Wishes,
Chelsea

The Duncan’s! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I met this awesome couple the other day! You guys are absolutely adorable together. And El Paso, you’re starting to grow on me. I suppose there are some beautiful locations around here…I mean downtown, come on! However, I do miss the So. Illinois trees and fall time right now.  I’m definitely a leaf cruncher…oh you know, I walk out of my way just to step on the leaf that I know will make an awesome crunch sound! 🙂 True story, my friend Chelsey can attest for this action multiple times walking across the Quad in college!

Anyways, everyone knows how much I love couples sessions. Like A LOT and I’m getting ready to go photograph the other part of this session in the desert….YES, DESERT. Never thought I’d hear myself say that. So be on the look out.  Allison and Toby you guys did great and I wish you both all the happiness in the world.

Enjoy!

The Johnson’s! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Hello Pretties!

So it has been pretty quiet on the blog here lately, but I promise I’ve been a busy bee working on my new super dooper surprise! 🙂 I am officially giving myself a deadline. The surprise will be up and ready to go December 3rd. Mark my words!!!

Now, drum roll please….fantastic blog ahead!

I had a pretty fantastic time photographing this great family last weekend!  To say the least they did great! Crystal, props to you on looking and coordinating your family picture outfits to a “t”!  I absolutely LOVE it when families and couples plan ahead for their sessions and make sure everyone matches without doing the traditional white shirts or black shirts or like in my family pictures as a kid navy (haha, Thanks Mom! 😉 I’m going to blame it on the 90’s definitely NOT you!) Anyways, you guys did awesome!! Enjoy!

Thankful For You Minis |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photograph

Hello Lovlies!
It has been requested by quite a few people and I’ve decided to offer mini sessions here in El Paso! 🙂 I know with the Holiday’s coming up there are many things to be Thankful for, so I am offering Thankful for You mini sessions.  With fall on the mind I instantly think of Thanksgiving and all the fun and hours spent with family enjoying each others company. Of course every family has their own traditions and this year I’m lucky enough to start my own family traditions with my Husband, which I am sure will be a blend of his traditions and mine! And has anyone else noticed of course Christmas is coming up…yet another Holiday that I think we all need to remember how Thankful we are for Family and Friends and the things we have. I almost fell over when I saw not one, but at least 4 or 5 aisles filled with Christmas stuff at Hobby Lobby and it isn’t even Halloween yet.  Either way I think we all need to be thankful for those special people in our lives, our families and friends.  What’s not a better way than to enjoy a mini family session?
There are two Thankful for You options, because, I am thankful for my amazing clients and support system.
Time slots will be available and there are a limited number of mini sessions! The location is pending, but will definitely be at a park. Please email or call the studio at pinkvintagephotography@gmail.com or 618.263.2669.
Warm Wishes and Pumpkin Spice Lattes,
Chelsea

V’s Homecoming! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Have you heard how much I LOVE homecomings?! I’ll admit it I absolutely love photographing them and they are all so special.  Like I’ve said before maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for happy moments, I mean who isn’t right?, or maybe I just love hearing all the stories and how strong the Wives and Families of the soldiers are. Either way…they are absolutely beautiful and I’m beyond thrilled to be able to capture them. 🙂

This homecoming was slightly different..instead of the HUGE homecomings that I had been used to this one was small and intimate. It was so nice that there was only a handful or two of people there so everyone family could line up along the rope to see their loved one and there was plenty of space to move around so you could stand be wherever you wanted to be.

V’s homecoming was awesome and she was beyond thrilled to have her husband home and him get to see his son. Speaking of he’s adorable… 🙂 and his little onesie was too cute.  She was so excited and Dad has such a look of pride on his face!!!  Enjoy!

You guys have such a beautiful family!  Thank you so much for letting me photograph such a special day! 🙂

Joey: Senior |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Senior Sessions are a whole lot of fun…I think it’s pretty awesome to get to be a model for a day.  Now this may make me sound old, or not…but I’ve known Joey’s mom since I was about in 4th grade…she was my gymnastics coach back in the day and has just opened her gym in Mt. Carmel… Excel Gymnastics Club.   It was a lot of fun to be able to photograph her Son and he has a pretty sweet Mustang too!

I think everyone can agree..it’s a pretty sweet Mustang! 🙂

Joey definitely rocked his senior session! He’s got a serious look down and thanks to his awesome parents for telling all of their hilarious stories to make him genuinely laugh…**the cat story is my favorite!** Thanks again!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Pedigo |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I met Lindsay at SIUe in an art class. She’s a fellow photographer, and as long as I’ve known her she has been with Michael and talked about marrying him from day one! 🙂 When you know…you know!  Their wedding was beautiful..and they got married on August 4, 2012 in Granite City, IL at the  First Assembly of God. I’m sure they remember what the weather was like when they woke up…gray and rainy…it had stormed the night before. To say the least, it quickly changed to a bright and cheery day which was such a relief! 🙂 On the plus side..it did sprinkle a bit that morning and as the wise tale goes if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck!

I just LOVE all the little details that Lindsay had come up with.  My fabulous assistant for the day Chelsey asked me what her wedding colors were…(to be honest Lindsay and I never discussed it..oops)…but I just knew it would going to be Oranges and Pinks!

Lindsay is so beautiful. She looked stunning and Michael’s expression when he finally saw her was priceless and he had quite a few surprises for her too. Make sure you check out Linsday’s reaction to her new wedding band she had NO idea about!

To say the least they are naturals in front of the camera and know exactly when to have a serious look versus a smile. Totally jealous! 🙂

Lindsay and Michael…Thank you SO very much for letting me photograph your big day!  It’s absolutely wonderful photographing and being a part of such a special day. You guys are an absolutely amazing couple and I wish you all the best in everything you do!!!!! Enjoy!

B’s Homecoming! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

I have this feeling that Homecomings are never going to get old! 🙂 Maybe it’s because like I said in the previous post I’m a hopeless romantic and a sucker for happy moments!  Kelsey had contacted me a bit before her Husband was scheduled to arrive home. From the moment that she had contacted me her emails were filled with excitement. I knew this homecoming was going to be amazing because Kelsey is one full of life girl. She was beyond thrilled to have her Husband home again (I think you can see it all over her face 🙂 ) and best of all he was coming in the day before her Birthday.  Let’s talk about one Birthday present that I don’t know if it could ever be topped.  Kelsey you and your Husband are absolutely adorable together and I wish you both all the best! Thanks for allowing me to photograph this special event in your lives! 🙂

E & L’s Homecoming! |Mt. Carmel, IL| El Paso, TX | Portrait & Wedding Photographer| Pink Vintage Photography

Brace yourself for this Homecoming…it’s not just one but two! 🙂 You can definitely tell that these two were super excited to see their Husbands.  As well as two handsome boys, who didn’t know their Dad was coming home until they saw the plane land, Lisa, their Mom waited to tell them as a surprise.  To say the least….it was “the best day of his entire life”. 🙂 These are the precious moments that make each homecoming so personal and special.  I am a hopeless romantic and a sucker for happy exciting moments…this was all well, priceless!  Thank you girls so much for allowing me to photograph such an amazing day in your lives! 🙂 Enjoy!!!
